Terms

The deal between you and TradieWeb, in plain English. By building a preview or paying for a site you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

TradieWeb is a service of Tradie Resources Ltd, a New Zealand company. "We" and "us" mean Tradie Resources Ltd. "You" means the person or business that signs up. Reach us at hello@tradieweb.co.nz or 027 746 3304.

2. What you get

• A website for your business, built from the details you give us, in one of our looks.
• Hosting and security for that website while your subscription is paid.
• A private edit link so you can change your words, photos, look and colour yourself.
• Help pointing your own domain name at the site.
• Enquiries from your site's contact form sent to your email.

Not included: your domain name, email mailboxes, photography, custom design, advertising or marketing services, and online bookings or payments. The done-for-you build is a separate service with its own agreement.

3. Looking is free

You can build and view a preview without paying. A preview stays on show for 7 days. After that we may take it off show, and may delete it.

4. Price and payment

• $79 a month or $790 a year, in New Zealand dollars. If we are registered for GST, the price shown includes it.
• There is no setup fee.
• You pay in advance by card through Stripe. Your plan renews automatically each month or year until you cancel.
• If we change the price we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you.

5. If a payment fails

We will let you know and the payment will be tried again over the following days. If it still has not gone through, your subscription ends and your site comes down. Paying again brings it back.

6. Cancelling

• You can cancel at any time by emailing hello@tradieweb.co.nz or replying to any email from us.
• Your site stays live until the end of the month or year you have already paid for, then comes down.
• We do not refund the period you have already paid for, unless the law says we must or we have billed you by mistake.
• We keep your site's content for a while after you cancel so you can come back. Ask us and we will delete it.

7. Your domain

Your domain name is yours and stays yours. If you leave, you can point it wherever you like. We never register a domain in our own name on your behalf.

8. Your content and your promises

• The words and photos you add are yours. You give us permission to host and display them so we can run your site.
• You promise you have the right to use everything you add, including photos.
• The first version of your site's wording is written by software. You are responsible for reading it and fixing anything that is wrong before you go live.
• You promise that what your site says is true, including any licence, registration, qualification, insurance or guarantee, and that your site does not break the law or mislead anyone.

9. Enquiries from your customers

When someone fills in the contact form on your site, their details are yours and you are responsible for how you use them. We store them and pass them to you, and do nothing else with them. See our privacy page.

10. Our credit on your site

Each site carries a small "Powered by TradieWeb" link in the footer.

11. Referrals

When a tradie you sent us pays for their first month, we take one month off your next bill, up to 12 a year. You must be a paying customer when the credit lands. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are lost if you cancel. We can refuse credits for fake or self-referrals, and can change or end the programme for future referrals.

12. Keeping things fair

We can take down or suspend a site that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, or that puts our service or other customers at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

13. How reliable it is

We work to keep your site up and fast, but no website is up every minute of every year, and we rely on other companies to host and deliver it. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error free, and we do not promise your site will bring in a particular amount of work.

14. If something goes wrong

• You are buying this service for your business. To the extent the law allows, you and we agree the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.
• If we fail to deliver the service, the most we are liable for in total is the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
• We are not liable for lost profit, lost work, lost data, or any indirect loss.
• Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Fair Trading Act 1986.

15. If we need to end it

We can stop providing the service to you by giving 30 days' notice by email. If we do, we refund any time you have paid for and not yet used.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree you can cancel.

17. The law that applies

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts deal with any dispute.
